This year the international celebration of the Day of Vesak falls in accordance with the sixtieth anniversary celebration of His Majesty the King?s accession to the throne. Thus, the organizing committee resolved to organize a particularly special celebration this year. Hence, one can imagine how great this forthcoming celebration of Vesak will be. Standing watching the exhibition in the tent and book shop you can get both knowledge and peace of mind.

As for this year, on the 12th there will be a ceremony for dedicating oneself as a Buddhist follower and paying respect to His Majesty the King. Afterwards there will be a ceremony involving a candle lit procession around the Tooth Relic, generously loaned by Sri Lanka. Interested persons are welcomed.

Apart from the exhibition and one week of religious ceremonies for the propagation of Buddhism, at Sanam Laung, the international Buddhist conference is another significant event due to take place at the United Nations base in Bangkok from the 7th to the 10th of this month.
